Connecting remote offices and home workers
Where the investment in a direct voice connection cannot be justified, i.e. for small offices and home workers 8el provides indirect access.
8el’s indirect service benefits:
• |
Single supplier covering all worker communities |
•
|
Reduced total cost of ownership |
|
- Single point of contact |
|
- Reduced MIS |
• |
Inclusion of home/small office workers in central billing process |
• |
Access to 24/7 8el support, backed by first class SLA |
• |
Monitoring and diagnosis of remote office voice network (ISDN lines) |
• |
Current telephone numbers retained |
• |
Corporate tariff available to all indirect sites |
Indirect services are available using either Least Cost Routing (LCR) or Carrier Pre Select (CPS).
LCR - Least Cost Routing
For offices with existing ISDN30 or ISDN2 infrastructure 8el will deploy Leased Cost Routing (LCR) to direct calls to the 8el network. By installing Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) a LCR code is automatically added to each outbound call which is then recognised by the local exchange and routed to 8el. Calls made in this way then appear on the customer’s central telephone bill, giving excellent control and saving time when allocating calls to individual or departments.
CPS - Carrier Pre-Select
For home workers using analogue lines 8el will deploy Carrier Pre Selection (CPS) where the exchange is programmed to recognise the Call Line Identity (CLI) in order to route customer calls to the 8el network. This minimises administration for home users claiming telephone call back via expenses.
