8el Conference will highlight new voice and data services and point way-ahead for converged networks

Reading, UK, January 4th, 2005 --- Converged network specialists 8el is holding its networking conference at the Williams F1 Headquarters and Conference Centre in Grove, Oxfordshire on February 2nd 2005. The theme for the one day conference is the ‘The Team Factor’ and will offer delegates the chance to evaluate current and future network technologies, listen to the experiences of existing 8el customers and network with industry experts, technical gurus and peers.

The conference programme will also highlight two new important services for 2005 aimed at mid corporates. The first is 8el’s new Corporate Telephone Preference Service (CPTS), launched in response to a change in the law that now makes it illegal for businesses to make unsolicited marketing calls. 8el’s solution automatically screens all outbound calls against an official register of companies who have opted out of receiving unsolicited calls before connecting. The second is 8el’s new DSL service, a more cost effective method for connecting smaller satellite offices to core business networks using a dedicated, ‘private’ circuits. 8el’s Private DSL WAN solution is far less expensive than traditional leased line technologies such as Kilostream or Frame Relay and more secure than other DSL offerings that largely rely on ‘public’ ISP clouds to transfer business data.

Other topics covered will range from evaluating current and future communications technologies and strategies, building technology partnerships and learning from the customer experience.

The conference is primarily aimed at decision makers who are responsible for corporate voice and data communications. Delegates will also have the chance to enjoy state-of-the-art and fun conference facilities including a test drive in a Williams F1 simulator racing car and a tour of the Williams F1 Grand Prix Collection and Trophy Room.

To register for 8el’s Networking conference delegates should call Melanie Howells or Jane Howlin at 8el on 0845 33 000 93.
