CallPort Administration Portal

The CallPort platform offers a large amount of flexibility to ensure user functionality and configuration can be managed by the IT team in a user friendly and easy to administer format. The CallPort Administration Portal (CAP) is 8el’s secure, web based platform used to add and modify users within the CallPort platform.

The CAP is used to edit and control the settings for organisations, groups and individual users applied by the 8el Network. The administrator can set up users, allocate telephony and extension numbers, plus monitor usage whether it be data transfer or inbound calls passing through the network. This is all achieved through a centralised, secure portal, allowing the management of all sites.

Typical tasks which can be simply and efficiently handled by use of the CAP are:

  • Creating users and organising them into user groups
  • Managing call groups and selecting the way in which calls are answered
  • Assigning telephone numbers and extensions
  • Configuring call-forwarding options for call groups and individual users
  • Editing voicemail boxes for users and call groups

By controlling the IP phones via the CAP, the administrator can make Moves, Adds and Changes (MAC’s) via a web portal ,safe in the knowledge that a single configuration change on one platform will invoke changes across the entire organisation. The CallPort family of services enables administrators to pick and mix features and facilities to deliver the tools needed in a traditional PABX environment.
