Auto Attendant

Auto Attendant can help to increase staff efficiency by routing calls in the most effective manner, freeing up valuable time. Traffic can be directed straight to the relevant department and provide the opportunity to reduce the number of telephone staff required by providing auto answering of calls, time of day routing and emergency messages.

The Auto Attendant feature is particularly useful for:

  • Mid to large organisations that have a significant volume of calls that could be directed through at a department level
  • Organisations that require an out of hours message
  • Organisations the require the ability to add an emergency message remotely

Auto Attendant has a number of features that can be used to provide telephone efficiency within your organisation.

Time of day routing

The ability to set a message dependant on the time of day, with multiple time of day messages available. e.g. Night or weekend.

Emergency message

An emergency message can be recorded and set remotely, as and when required. This announcement will override all others, but still allows Voicemail messages to be left.

Announcement recording

A welcome announcement can be set with options for call routing. A comfort announcement can also be created to cope with extended ringing periods, or for when a caller is put on hold.

Out of hours

The out of hours announcement will inform callers of opening times and provide the option to leave a message.
