Take time over VoIP warns provider

Take time over VoIP warns providerUK businesses should take their time over preparing for a VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) rollout in order to ensure they receive optimum benefits, according to a top managed services company.

Businesses are swarming around the technology, looking to take advantage of increased efficiency and low cost, but by doing so could lead them down the path of choosing the wrong service or product, according to Azzurri.

Azzurri product development director Tony Corlett explained that a little time now could save a lot of time later.

"The companies that don't invest much time at that level will of course end up investing the time and potentially the money further down the line as they discover things weren't exactly as they expected them to be," he said.

Azzurri advises that taking the time to plan a new technology roll out successfully can decrease the chances of something going wrong further down the line.

Recently, researchers Frost & Sullivan predicted a 13 per cent growth in the unified communications market by the end of 2008.
