VoIP technology 'creates business freedom'
The development of high-quality VoIP solutions, combined with email and wireless broadband connections, has made running a business from abroad increasingly viable for UK people.
This is according to bytestart.co.uk, which explains that VoIP telephony has become a popular option for entrepreneurs looking to conduct their business from another country while retaining a British client base.
As well as saving money, using a VoIP system can help to give customers the impression that they are dealing with a professional organisation rather than a "one-man band operation", the small business portal states.
"With VoIP phones, your phone calls are carried over the internet rather than on traditional phone lines," the website explains.
"That makes them cheap and highly flexible. It's also cheap to buy or rent 0845 or geographical numbers which you can divert to phones elsewhere."
VoIP deployments also remain popular among larger organisations, with Leicestershire County Council recently rolling out an IP telephony network across 300 sites in a project worth £5.5 million.
