End of the recession 'good news for the VoIP industry'

End of the recession 'good news for the VoIP industry'The official announcement of the end of the recession has proved to be good news for the voice over internet protocol (VoIP) industry, it has been revealed.

Since the global economic downturn officially came to an end on January 25th it would appear that many small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are now considering taking on new services such as VoIP.

Business internet provider Voxclever has reported a rise in enquires since this date, showing that an increasing number of SMEs are looking to implement new systems that the recession had previously caused them to hold back on.

"Although the economy is by no means stabilised it appears that businesses are feeling more confident about the future and as a result are implementing new services to benefit customers," says Scott Goodwin, chief executive of the company.

But it could be that adopting VoIP systems is also helpful to businesses looking to cut spending - a recent report by research company Frost and Sullivan advised that the cost-saving benefits of the technology are "too large to ignore".
