Hosted VoIP solutions 'growing in popularity'
A growing number of businesses are selecting hosted VoIP services when upgrading their telephony systems, an industry expert has claimed.
Braun Mincher, an entrepreneur with over 12 years' experience in the telecoms industry, said recent research shows that approximately 70 per cent of new phone installations now feature an element of VoIP technology.
When examining these new deployments, analysts have found that an increasing number of business VoIP users are opting for hosted services instead of investing in a completely new PBX system.
In comments cited by telephonyworld.com, Mr Mincher explained: "It is no longer necessary to make a huge capital investment in a PBX system that will be immediately outdated and require expensive ongoing service, upgrades and support.
"The hosted platform is a better alternative that easily allows scalability for a predictable monthly cost per user."

Richard Snow of Ventanta Research recently spoke to callcentrehelper.com about the growing influence of VoIP technology in contact centres.
He told the website that the penetration of VoIP systems within the call centre industry has increased from less than 30 per cent to just over 50 per cent in the last five years.
