Upgrade business internet services, says expert
Business internet services need to evolve and companies should upgrade their technology, according to Kognito.
Roger Llewellyn, chief executive at the business solution company, said a lot of the IT tools that employees were using to advertise their businesses were ten or 15 years old.
He added that companies needed to stop using the same technology as the last generation.
"If you keep doing the same, you will keep getting the same. It was high-risk then and it is high-risk now," Mr Llewellyn explained.
He remarked that Business Intelligence (BI) needed to evolve into something that it had not been in the last ten years.
Mr Llewellyn's comments come after research from Kognito showed that almost two-thirds of businesses thought that BI was too expensive to implement.
A quarter of companies had spent more than £1 million on installing BI and half said they had paid £500,000.
Mr Llewellyn said that in the future BI projects would be implemented much faster and at a reduced cost as they would be smaller.
He added that they would also become much more successful.
