Cloud computing 'offers many benefits'
The implementation of cloud computing models offer a wide range of benefits and not just low-cost deployment, one expert has advised.
Industry commentator Roger Strukoff says that that one of the best things that the technology can provide is the flexibility that it offers to businesses in terms of IT operations, Experian reports.
He explains that the recent global economic slowdown serves as a good example of how companies need to have the flexible approach that cloud computing can offer.
And it is important to remember that the cost-saving benefits of the medium are far from the only benefit that the cloud offers.
"In fact, it represents something far more important - the ability to react in the short term, even in real-time to whatever is going on with our business," states Mr Strukoff.
Furthermore, it was recently advised by Rob Lovell, chief executive of ThinkGrid, that cloud computing can assist businesses in terms of disaster recovery strategies.
