Top 10 consumer broadband results
Broadband comparison site Top 10 Broadband has released its awards for the county's best consumer broadband providers.
O2 scooped two awards; for fastest broadband and customer satisfaction, while BT was awarded best wireless broadband for its Home Hub 2.0 product.
The awards analysed over 300,000 speed test results logged by consumers and Top 10 Broadband web editor Jane McArdle said it gives the ISPs a chance to celebrate their individual strengths.
"The winners of the Top 10 Broadband awards have distinguished themselves in the UK broadband market by offering first-class packages tailored to niche areas of the market," she said.
"The Top 10 Broadband awards amount to a comprehensive guide to the best broadband packages on the market allowing the public to make informed buying decisions."
While O2 averaged a respectable 6.128Mb connection speed and a customer rating of 3.84 out of 5, business broadband should be considered by any new companies due to the increased strains placed on the network by business operations.
