8el’s Justin Hamilton-Martin named amongst UK businesses' top 500 players

Reading, UK, December 6th, 2007 --- Justin Hamilton-Martin, Managing Director of specialist communications provider 8el, has been named in the ‘business’ category of the Courvoisier Future 500– an exclusive list of individuals expected to play a key role in their respective sectors.

The list, printed in the Observer newspaper, recognised the abilities of 500 of the most talented and promising individuals in the UK business world across ten categories: art and design, business, drink, fashion and retail, food, media, public life, science and innovation, sports and entertainment and travel and leisure.

Justin, 34, has been Managing Director of 8el since its inception in 1999. Under his stewardship the company has transformed from a niche voice carrier into a leader within the networking and corporate VoIP marketplace in the UK. He has played a key role in the development of the technology that underpins the company's growth and competitive advantage.

Justin says: "It's a great honour to be named alongside such talented people and my appearance in the Future 500 list also reflects the success the team has been achieving at 8el.”

8el has recently established themselves at the forefront of the UK VoIP market, launching CallPort, the first of a new generation of IP telephony services for business. CallPort delivers a cost effective, feature rich experience enabled through the use of IP technologies. CallPort smashes traditional geographical boundaries associated with current generation PBX or hosted telephony solutions, allowing unprecedented levels of flexibility and mobility for corporate users as well as other eye catching benefits such as free local, national and site-to-site calls.

The list of 500 individuals, representing ten business categories, has been developed in partnership with trade publications and judges. On November 23rd the results were published showing 500 of this country's future ‘movers and shakers’.
