8el network gets clean bill of health from medical reporting firm
e-reporting group opt for 8el converged voice and data network
Reading, UK, November 18th, 2005 --- 8el has secured a three year contract worth £100,000 to provide medical reporting experts e-reporting group with a converged network solution for voice and data services.
Due to go live in November 2005, 8el will supply e-reporting group with a private Wide Area Network (WAN) and direct voice services as part of a complete communications solution. Benefits will include network resilience, increased network visibility and cost savings.
Following the recent merger of ewitness limited with Medical Report Services (MRS), the newly formed e-reporting group had a requirement to implement a private voice and data network between their existing Leeds office and the MRS site in Redditch. 8el will deliver a WAN connecting the UK sites and supply direct voice services. As part of the requirement e-reporting group desired a fully resilient service, 8el proposed a robust network with a backup circuit and no single point of failure. The 8el solution is also a 'Quality of Service' (QoS) enabled network, allowing e-reporting group to prioritise the transfer of critical business applications across the network.
Dr David Pearce, joint CEO at e-reporting group commented; "Following the merger we were looking for a rapid installation of a high quality communications solution to both our UK sites. Having heard positive feedback about 8el from within the industry, we were able to quickly build confidence in the 8el solution and support at an early stage."
In addition, 8el's solution provides e-reporting group with a superior level of visibility of their network infrastructure that was previously unavailable, enabling them to make better informed decisions about the network. Using a specialised CPE device the service, called 8elWatch, consists of a series of online network monitoring tools that can be tailored to give a customer powerful information about their data infrastructure including bandwidth utilisation, performance and service availability figures. Similarly, a voice monitoring tool, branded CallWatch (8el's on-line telephone billing service), provides e-reporting group with advanced billing information giving them control of their telephony spend. CallWatch is available on-line 24/7 and delivers valuable, up-to-the-hour, monitoring and reporting capabilities.
As backup and for peace of mind, e-reporting group has access to 24/7 professional assistance from 8el's pro-active customer support team, should they require it. This includes a dedicated single point of contact for all queries related to voice and data services. 8el's first class customer support is backed up by a comprehensive Service Level Agreement (SLA) guaranteeing availability of service.
