Animal welfare charity Blue Cross upgrade communications with future proof next generation network
Reading, UK, December 21st, 2007 --- 8el has secured a contract to supply registered charity The Blue Cross with an upgraded capacity Wide Area Network, voice connectivity and centralised ISP services. The Blue Cross selected 8el to improve user and management efficiency and drive productivity, whilst implementing business continuity plans to protect their operations.
8el’s solution will provide a fully scalable Quality of Service (QoS) enabled WAN, allowing The Blue Cross’ network to grow dynamically with the organisation. With the existing network proving insufficient for The Blue Cross’ needs, 8el will supply increased capacity into all UK sites with a backup network for additional resilience, 24 x 7 customer support and a comprehensive SLA guaranteeing service levels.
The solution delivers a future proof platform with a clear migration path towards The Blue Cross’ desire to implement Voice over IP (VoIP) across their network. Adopting VoIP enables call costs between sites to be eliminated and the IP environment enables efficient centralised operator working, with presence visibility and an enhanced level of call control to support The Blue Cross’ multiple UK sites.
