8el expands ISP offering due to customer demand
8el team up with BlackSpider Technologies to deliver managed Internet and filtered email services
Reading, UK, August, 2006 --- Next Generation Network operator 8el plan to increase their portfolio of ISP products and services in conjunction with BlackSpider Technologies, the on-demand security service of SurfControl plc, following demand for fully managed, highly secure solutions from their growing customer base.
In response to this, 8el has announced a partnership with Europe's fastest-growing on-demand security services company, BlackSpider Technologies, to implement a full range of email security services for their ISP customers. Utilising BlackSpider MailControl 8el can now provide a full range of anti-virus, spam and content filtering for email; delivering greater protection and fully managed solutions at lower cost.

The ISP service also cements 8el's position as a convenient and efficient one-stop-shop for communications services and is a critical step towards a strategy to delivering Next Generation Networks.

8el currently offer 2 main ISP services - ISPConnect and ISPCoreConnect enabling it to expand its recognised high levels of service and bring support in house to include Internet connectivity, eliminating reliance on third party ISP's. Additionally 8el customer will also have access to BlackSpider's web security services including WebDefence which delivers comprehensive protection from web based threats, inappropriate content and allows companies to enforce web usage policies.
