World's number one payroll provider ADP, selects 8el voice and data network

Reading, UK, September 30th, 2004 --- Specialist network operator 8el (pronounced ‘A-Tel’), has secured a contract expected to be worth £325,000 over 3 years to provide leading payroll provider ADP with a full ‘Quality of Service’ (QoS) enabled, voice and data network. The 8el solution, chosen ahead of two other telecoms providers, will deliver a cost efficient, ATM based data network and direct voice connectivity to replace ADP’s existing leased-line infrastructure.

Going live in October, 8el will install intelligent customer premises equipment into ADP’s Staines, Manchester and Birmingham offices, enabling site-to-site data access, internal voice traffic via VoIP and direct voice services to the PSTN. 8el will extend their ATM core network to ADP’s site, enabling ‘QoS’ to be configured across the network universally for the first time. 8el will also implement a private, secure connection to ADP’s managed Disaster Recovery data centre in London.

Founded in 1949, ADP is number one in the world for payroll, outsourcing and human resources management solutions for all types of business. ADP Employer Services began its UK operations in 1965 and these are now available throughout the UK via 3 purpose-built client, sales and support centres.

Said Sean Ennor, Technology Service Director at ADP -- “One of our key drivers was for a fully scaleable network, able to cope with future bandwidth upgrades and planned modifications to our communications infrastructure. 8el’s solution not only delivers this, but also meets the high quality and reliability standards we look for in suppliers."
