SIPPort – 8el’s scalable, fully managed SIP trunk solution

SIPPort utilises SIP technology to connect IP or legacy digital PBX’s to 8el’s core network. Customer calls are carried as VoIP through an IP data infrastructure via an 8el managed device, the SIPPort Exchange, on the customer site.

SIP trunks offer a viable alternative to ISDN connectivity to the PSTN, taking a step towards transitioning to a converged networking strategy.  Utilising SIP trunks will lower telephony costs in comparison to fixed ISDN lines, it has minimal infrastructure costs and importantly, can increase resilience in the event of any network issues. 

8el SolutionsSIPPort removes geographic constraints, allowing you to publish local numbers around the UK without having to pay diversion charges back to the main office. Calls are then mapped to the IP interconnect for onward routing via SIP trunks.
