Active Directory
The 8el CallPort solution enables a lightweight application connection to AD services for the automatic provisioning of new users joining an organisation.
Through this centralised approach, soft client and reception console users, as well as administrative users, are able to effectively manage global changes to all interfaces on the platform including the softphone, the CallPort Administration Portal, the Operator Console and phone directory.
By linking to a corporate directory structure, the CallPort solution maintains up to date information for handsets and offers instant access to multiple numbers.

- LDAP Synchronisation – Using LDAP CallPort synchronises upon refresh with the organisations Domain Controller to obtain user names, display names and any telephony details.
- HTTP queries – The Snom IP Phones currently deployed with the CallPort platform use HTTP to query the IP Freeport for Corporate Directory information that has been pulled from Active Directory.
