VoIP ready WAN’s
8el’s MPLS core provides connectivity to 8el’s end to end managed solution, interconnecting with all products in the VoiceSuite and DataSuite.
8el are able to offer a variety of access technologies to connect enterprise campus, branch, SOHO and mobile worker into the MPLS core using a choice of circuit providers whilst providing end to end Quality of Service (QoS).
The core of 8el’s network is built using Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) technology, designed to maximise switching using labels and to minimise Layer 3 routing. Being a ‘light-telco’ we don’t dig the streets!
When designing the Wide Area Network 8el will establish the design requirements, tailoring each element to suit. 8el will always design with application availability, cost and usage in mind. Additional design considerations will include resiliency, redundancy and disaster recovery scenarios and will be driven through the design discussion with the customer.
- 8el Support – 8el’s full WANPort solution is supported and maintained by the Network Operations Centre (NOC). Using leading technology, the NOC are able to proactively respond and report on network faults with target rates of 90%. All of 8el’s engineers are fully trained and experienced with an array of vendor hardware and technology and can provide customers with knowledge as and when required.
- Reporting– 8el’s online reporting tools include AppFlow - an interactive network monitoring tool providing customers the ability to define bespoke reports on network usage and alerts managers before faults become service affecting.
- High performance – the core of 8el’s WANPort solution is built on MPLS technology with N+1 redundancy. An un-contended backbone connecting each of 8el’s POP’s ensures the core maintains its high performing switching functionality. All interconnections with suppliers and partners are designed for future growth and are monitored and increased s required to ensure networks remain at the optimal level.
- Network agnostic – 8el have relationships with multiple partners and suppliers to provide access circuits between the 8el core and customer sites within the UK and internationally. Independent of any one supplier, 8el is in a prime position to offer circuits based on functionality, cost and availability.
- QoS Included – 8el’s WANPort is an end to end Quality of Service enabled solution. 8el understand the importance of QoS on a network for guaranteeing a higher quality of service to certain protocols and services over another. With the emergence of VoIP and 8el’s own IP Centrex solution, QoS has been further enhanced and additional technologies integrated into the WANPort solution to ensure the highest level of service is maintained throughout.
